Why Cam-Lock & Spring Checkvalve Assemblies
are Superior to Union & Flapper Checkvalve Assemblies

All Checkvalves, no matter what type or brand, will eventually malfunction with just a small piece of sand, tiny pebble, tree needle, algae, leaf fragment, grass clipping, uneaten fish food, or any other item a pump can pass.

The common, but less expensive "Flapper Door Checkvalves" work fine until their eventual malfunction from a piece of debris that gets caught in their flapper door and/or flapper door hinge. The only way to clean "Flapper Door Checkvalves" is to remove them, then "snake" them with an extended pipe cleaning brush - and you can't be sure you fully cleaned it until you re-install the Checkvalve and restart your system. If the "Flapper Door Checkvalve" wasn't fully cleaned - you'll have to repeat the process as many times as necessary to sufficiently clean the flapper door.

Our Camlock with Spring Checkvalve Assemblies can be easily, and completely disassembled for easy, and complete cleaning! See how easy it is to dismantle and clean our Camlock with Spring Checkvalve Assembliesin the photos below.

Union Spring Checkvalve in the "Closed" position. Union Spring Checkvalve in the "Open" position.

Easy to open Union allows easy access to the "Spring Checkvalve" Stopper for Easy Cleaning.

The Spring and Stopper inside the Spring Checkvalve.Checkvalve Stopper is easily removed for cleaning.
