Excavtion template

The markings on the ground will be your excavation guidelines.

The HydroRock™ outline in the middle will be excavated down 6" and level. The area between the inside and outside lines will taper from 1" down out the outside edges to 6" down where the HydroRock™ area is. Then from there, the excavation will drop down to the depth of the pump chamber.

Your completed excavation

Your complete excavation will look like this.

Pre-washed river rock

*Installers Note: Pre-rinse your river rock in old plant pots or baskets.*

HydroChamber excavation

Before installing your underlayment and/or liner - set the pump chamber into the excavation to make sure the excavation is wide enough and deep enough.

Install underlayment

After double checking your excavation width and depth - install your Underlayment. Fold over the large wrinkles - and don't worry about the smaller ones.

Install liner

Next, install your Liner on top of the Underlayment. Again, fold over the large wrinkles and forget about the small ones.
