In this photo on the left, the HydroClean™Pond Skimmer is remotely installed 6 feet away from the pond's edge. Day Lilies, Hydrangea, Petunias, Impatiens, Davidii, a Beech tree, and a gravel pathway separate the HydroClean™ Pond Skimmer from the pond.
Notice the electrical power box in the upper left hand corner of the photo. Instead of moving the electrical power source closer to the pond, the HydroClean™ Pond Skimmer was simply installed away from the pond and adjacent to the power source.
To Remotely Install a HydroClean™ Pond Skimmer with PVC pipe, you'll use rubber couplers. Depending on the model skimmer, and the flow rate you're running through it - you may reduce the pipe diameter using rubber reducing couplers like the one shown here on the right.
