4" Pipe @ 1,500 - 5,000 GPH
6" Pipe @ 5,100 - 8,000 GPH
10" Pipe @ 8,100 - 24,000 GPH
For 1,500 - 5,000 GPH flow rates Use 4" PVC pipe
Maximum Pipe Distance is the pumping
flow rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Flow Rate. Example:
- 1,500 GPH Pump Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Rate = Maximum of 2-1/2' of 4" PVC pipe.
- 1,800 GPH Pump Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Rate = Maximum of 3' of 4" PVC pipe.
- 2,700 GPH Pump Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Rate = Maximum of 4-1/2' of 4" PVC pipe.
- 3,500 GPH Pump Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Rate = Maximum of 6' of 4" PVC pipe.
- 4,700 GPH Pump Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Rate = Maximum of 7' of 4" PVC pipe.
5,100 - 8,000 GPH flow rates use 6" PVC pipe
Maximum Pipe Distance is the pumping
flow rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe flow rate. Example:
- 5,100 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 8' of 6" PVC pipe.
- 6,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 10' of 6" PVC pipe.
- 7,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 12' of 6" PVC pipe.
- 8,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 600 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 13' of 6" PVC pipe.
8,100 - 24,000 GPH flow rates use 10" PVC pipe
Maximum Pipe Distance is the pumping
flow rate ÷ 1,000 GPH Pipe flow rate. Example:
- 8,100 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 1,000 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 8' of 10" PVC pipe.
- 10,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 1,000 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 10' of 10" PVC pipe.
- 12,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 1,000 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 12' of 10" PVC pipe.
- 15,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 1,000 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 15' of 10" PVC pipe.
- 20,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 1,000 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 20' of 10" PVC pipe.
- 24,000 GPH Pump Flow Rate ÷ 1,000 GPH Pipe Flow Rate = Maximum of 24' of 10" PVC pipe.
